I am finally getting back to what feels a little more normal, after our fun trip home for my Dad's 80th birthday. We had a great visit with family and friends. The weather was beautiful, especially for our one day trip to the Blue Mountains (think Man From Snowy River!). While in Adelaide with my family, we even got to spend 2 gorgeous days at the beach. I am always amazed at the variety of shells in Australia, something you don't find anywhere else. I could not help myself and collected quite a few! It was special to see Miss E make those discoveries, this time as an 8-yr old! I think she is beginning to realize how truly blessed she is to have a foreign Mum!!!!
You probably would enjoy some pics, right? Well, here are just a few to make you want to go yourself!
The Famous Aussie Icon - Sydney Opera House
I didn't realize how much I miss the Australian bush until this trip - well truth be told, I am reminded how much I miss it every time I go home. Australian Tree Ferns
I just might have to do a wall collage of my favorite flower pics from this trip. This one is called bottle-brush - wonder why?! We Aussies to have a reputation for being very literal.
There are lots of reasons we love the beach in Australia: anybody see a crowd - NOPE! Wide open spaces, super soft sand, gorgeous shells....need any more convincing?!!!!!! This particular beach is Glenelg. We catch a tram in the city and arrive at the beachfront in approximately 17 minutes - LOVE it!
Probably enough drooling going on, so I will stop for today. If you want to see some more pics, write me a nice comment and I'll see what I can do :)
Happy Stamping
